Jean G. Stelsel, 92, of The Villages, FL, died Thursday, September 25, 2014 at The Villages.



Jean was born April 19, 1922 in East Orange, NJ the daughter of Stuart and Sylvia Ebert Lawson. Jean graduated from Shorewood High School and received her bachelor’s degree from Lawrence University in Appleton. On March 9, 1945 Jean married David W. Stelsel in Milwaukee. Following their marriage the couple resided in Waupun until they moved to The Villages in 2013. While residing in Waupun she was an active member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. Jean was a member of Waupun Historical Society, Waupun Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and Rock River Country Club. She collected antiques and enjoyed crafts. Jean and Dave enjoyed their travels in their motor home as well as traveling overseas. Jean was a current member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Beaver Dam.

Jean is survived by a daughter, Mardi (Daniel) Hoffman of The Villages, FL; a son, David W. (Connie) Stelsel, Jr. of Waupun; five grandchildren: Tricia (Chris) Cremeens, Shane Hoffman, Ryan (Nicole) Hoffman, David W. (Dana) Stelsel III, and Kirk (Laura) Stelsel; five great-grandchildren: Caenan and Finley Cremeens, Annabelle and Piper Hoffman, and Ford Stelsel.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Dave, on April 24, 2014.




Visitation:


Friends and relatives of Jean G. Stelsel may call on the family on Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.



Services:


A celebration of Jean’s life will be held Friday, November 7, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Beaver Dam with Rev. Mary Mail officiating.



Burial:


Inurnment of cremains will take place at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun.
