Jean Werth, 83, of Loveland, CO, died Friday, May 3, 2024, at Crossroads Memory Care in Delta, Colorado.
Visitation for Jean will take place on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 181 S. Main St., Markesan, WI from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Burial will take place at Tichora Cemetery in the Town of Mackford.
Jean Maxine (Bauer) Werth was born March 8, 1941, the daughter of Edward and J. Maxine Bauer in Floyd County, Iowa. She graduated from Charles City Junior-Senior High School and was a member of the National Honor Society. She attended the Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls and graduated with a bachelor's degree in teaching. On June 28, 1969, she was united in marriage to Kelvin W. Werth at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Charles City, IA. Jean loved children and was a first-grade teacher in both Iowa and Colorado. She was a member of King of Glory Lutheran Church in Loveland, Colorado. Her interests included playing games with her children and grandchildren; sewing, cooking and baking, especially anything chocolate; working in her flower gardens; volunteering at her church, and traveling to see her family. Jean will always be remembered as a very loving wife and mother, a wonderful homemaker, and a caring educator.
Living family members include her daughters, Laura (Daniel) Ingelido of Marlborough, MA.; her daughter, Lisa (Joe) Mock of Delta, CO; five grandchildren, Kyle (fiance Samantha) Mock, Gabriel Ingelido, Kayla Mock, Caleb Ingelido and Noah Ingelido; one brother, Lyle (Freda) Bauer of Omaha, NE; a sister-in-law, Edna Werth of Buhl, ID; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kelvin W. Werth; three brothers-in-law, Clayton "Ken" Werth, Karl Werth, and Ray Klapper, and two sisters-in-law, Arlene Werth and Iris Klapper.
If desired, memorials may be directed to King of Glory Lutheran Church, Loveland, Colorado, or the Alzheimer's Association.
