Jeanette Bos, 94, a resident of The Christian Home and Rehabilitation Center, died Friday, August 10, 2018.

Jeanette was born June 12, 1924 in Green Lake County, the daughter of Carl and Agnes Oostra Stiemsma. On June 1, 1945 she married John E. Bos at First Christian Reformed Church in East Friesland. Jeanette and John farmed in the Waupun area for over 40 years. She was also employed by The Christian Home in Waupun for 10 years in dietary. Jeanette was a member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Waupun.

Jeanette is survived by three daughters: Andrea (Daniel) Baber of rural Brandon, Loretta (John) Posthuma of rural Brandon, and Joan (Douglas) Aukeman of Hudsonville, MI; a son, James (Doreen) Bos of rural Waupun; 16 grandchildren: Mae (Derek) Kleinheksel, Rebecca (Michael) Huisman, Rachel (Michele Capio) Baber, Nathaniel (Emily) Baber, Corwin Bos, Chris (Jodi) Slager, Jennifer (Wesley) Faren, Kimberle (Garren) Agle, Ryan (Amy) Aukeman, Joy (Jon) Ippel, Nathan (Mandi) Aukeman, Alyssa (Brian) Maring, Bethany (Daryl) Rylaarsdam, David (Kerri) Posthuma, Jonathan Posthuma, and Nicole (Zach) Staudt; 37 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Lois Bos and Bernie Stiemsma; and several nieces and nephews.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband John in 2002; brothers: Jack, Ronald, and Ervin Stiemsma; and sisters: Ann Fischer and Josie Leystra.




Friends and relatives may call on the family on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun and on Tuesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.



Funeral services for Jeanette Bos will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Waupun with Rev. Jeff Brower officiating.



Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery.
