Jeanette M. Schmidt, age 81 of Beaver Dam, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, July 17, 2018.

A memorial gathering will take place on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd, Beaver Dam, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Rick Lund officiating. Private family inurnment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery .

Jeanette was born in Columbus on March 4, 1937. On June 1, 1957, she was united in marriage to Eugene "Gene" Schmidt. She was a member of First Ev. Lutheran Church and loved playing cards as well as doing volunteer work with the foot clinic and Meals on Wheels. Traveling with Gene was another activity she greatly enjoyed. Jeanette loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Becky (Mark) Kubale of West Bend; son, Bill (Jamie) Schmidt of Johnston, IA; grandchildren, Kyle Schmidt and Kayla (Josh) Mcbride; three great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth; and further survived by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene; and other relatives.
