Jeanne Wagner

Jeanne Wagner, 79, of Waupun, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 21, 2023 after a long illness.

Jeanne was born June 16, 1944 in St. Paul, MN, the daughter of Elmer and Ella Utke Geske. Jeanne was raised in Enderlin, ND with four sisters and three brothers. On August 25, 1973 she married Lee Wagner at Pella Lutheran Church in Waupun. Jeanne received her bachelor's degree at Mayville State in North Dakota and her master’s degree in Library Science at UW-Oshkosh. She retired to take care of her two daughters and to run their business of depression glass with her husband, Lee, “L & J's Glass Daze.” Jeanne was very active with church activities. She was a preschool teacher and secretary. Jeanne was also a library director until she retired to take care of her two daughters. She enjoyed baking, reading, and traveling, with her passion being antiquing.

Jeanne is survived of her husband of 50 years, Lee; two daughters: Trela Wagner and Liana Wagner, both of Waupun; siblings: JoAnn (Del) Snipes, Julie (Ron) Riviere, Roland Geske, Joy Mullins and Lowell (Diane) Geske; in-laws: Debbie Geske, Lenard (Kit) Wagner, Sandra Weix, and James Wagner; and many nieces and nephews.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Janice (Dean) Walden and Chuck Geske; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Oscar & Rose Wagner; and in-laws: Bobby Mullins, Robert Weix, and Aggie Wagner.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
