Jeff Forbes

Jeff Forbes, age 71, of Brownsville, passed away Friday, May 1, 2026 after a battle with respiratory issues.

Jeff was born April 3, 1955 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Clair and June Kressin Forbes. He graduated from Washington High School in 1975. Jeff was employed by Super Steele in Milwaukee as a press operator and then with the State of Wisconsin at Milwaukee Correctional Institutions as Maintenance Supervisor from where he retired in 2015. On July 4, 2020 he married Arlene Frye. Jeff really loved making lawn deco out of wood such as frogs, turtles, planters and bird houses. He also enjoyed the outdoors and UTV riding, always drawn to a little adventure, and living life on the edge. Jeff had a lifelong love of cars and never forgot the trip to Las Vegas where he had the chance to drive a Lamborghini at 100+ mph around a track. He traveled often, especially enjoying cruises, and he loved to reminisce—sharing stories and reliving the moments that meant the most to him. Jeff genuinely cared for Arlene’s two children, even though their time together was short. He also loved and cared deeply for his dog Max.

Jeff is survived by his wife of Arlene; two step children: Tammy (Bill) Rice and Jeremy “Boz” (Angela) Staniec; step-grandchildren: Brianna (Bryce) Ebert and Brandon Pritchard; siblings: David (Juanita “Janie”) Forbes, Daniel (Ruth) Forbes, and Gail (Tom) Slivicke; sisters-in-law: Gloria (Bill) Knar and Sharon Wiand; brothers-in-law: Daniel Ciokiewicz, Randy (Karen) Ciokiewicz, and Tim (Justan) Ciokiewicz; and many nieces and nephews.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; and his first wife, Sharon Anderson.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Monday, May 18, 2026 at Werrner-Harmsen Funeral Home and Event Center in Waupun, WI from 4:00pm to 7:00 pm.
