Jeffrey Rens

Jeffrey Rens, age 54, of Waupun, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 14, 2025 at his home.

Jeff was born July 29, 1970 in Waupun, the son of Victor and Patricia Johnson Rens. He attended Waupun High School, graduating in 1988. Jeff was very active in football and wrestling. His love for wrestling included coaching for various ages of students. On August 24, 1996 he married Tammy Fehrman At Trinity Reformed Church in Waupun. The couple has resided in Waupun all their married lives.

Jeff was employed as a Correctional Specialist at Correctional Enterprise in Waupun for 25 years. Jeff enjoyed traveling with their family, coaching football, wrestling, and working on his car and motorcycle. Jeff had a huge impact on the community by coaching wrestling, football, and taught overall valuable lessons to the many lives he impacted. He enjoyed riding with friends and relatives. Jeff is a member of Trinity Reformed Church in Waupun of which he has served as a deacon.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Tammy Rens of Waupun; son, Ryan Rens (girlfriend, Teagan Rupiper); daughter, JoHanna Rens of Waupun; his parents, Victor and Pat Rens of Brandon; brother, Joe (Jenny) Rens of Rogersville; sister, Clarissa (Gary) Kumber of Brandon; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Jeff was preceded in death by his aunt and uncle, Jerry and Nancy Rens; Mike Bloesl; and grandparents.

Funeral services and a celebration of Jeff’s life will be held on a Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Trinity Reformed Church in Waupun with Rev. Bryant Brozik officiating. Friends and relatives may call on the family on Friday at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun from 3:30-7 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service.

Memorials can be directed towards an athletic scholarship in Jeff’s memory.
