Jerome A. Justmann, age 82 of Markesan, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Berlin Memorial Hospital.
Jerome was born on July 4, 1932 at home on Sand St. in Watertown, the son of Arthur and Elsa (Thoma) Justmann. He attended school in Clyman and proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1952-54. Jerome was united in marriage to Ruth Liechty on June 16, 1956 at St. John the Baptist rectory in Clyman.
Jerome worked at Watertown Implement and at Lehman Tire & Supply before moving to Colorado in 1963, where he worked at Western Slope Appliance. In 1968, they moved to Markesan and worked for Robin II and started Justmann Refrigeration and Excavating. He retired in 2006. Jerome was a lifetime member of the Markesan Historical Society, and a member of the NRA, Holy Family Catholic Parish and the Hustisford American Legion Post #420.
Jerome is survived by his wife, Ruth of Markesan; brother, John (Frances) Justmann of Colorado; sisters-in-law, Mary Justmann, Lorraine Justmann, Helen (Lester) Rose and Dorothy Berger; brothers-in-law, John Liechty and Fritz Arends; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jerome was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dennis Justmann and Clark Justmann; sisters, Evelyn Metz and Elaine Klecker; brothers-in-law, Harold Klecker, Conrad Metz and Carl Berger; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Arends and Joan Liechty.
