Jerome Dietenberger age 72 of Horicon and formerly of Fox Lake, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 30, 2011 at Kindred Hospital in Greenfield.
Jerome was born on January 31, 1939 in Hartford to Joseph and Lorraine (nee Howley) Dietenberger. He graduated from Randolph High School in 1956 and later served in the National Guard in the state of Washington during the Cuban Missile Crisis. On August 19, 1961, Jerome was united in marriage to Beverly Link at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fox Lake. He managed the Pizza Villa in Fort Atkinson and worked as a prison guard in Waupun. He also owned and operated his own trucking business for several years.
Jerome is survived by his wife, Beverly of Horicon; his brother, James (Janet) Dietenberger of Beaver Dam; his sister, Jean (Vern) Franke of Juneau; two sister-in-laws, Virginia (Stanley) Borzick of Dandridge, TN and Barb Link of Cambria. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother-in-law, William Link and other relatives.
In honoring Jerome's wishes, private family services will be held.
