Jerry W. Clark, age 81 of Markesan, passed away at home on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.

Visitation for Jerry will take place on Monday, October 23, 2023 at Terraces Shores Ev. Free Church, W3278 Co Rd K., Markesan, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Inurnment will take place at Phelps Cemetery at a later date.

Jerry was born in Ripon on April 13, 1942, the son of Rollin and Elsie (Klabunde) Clark. He graduated with the Class of '60 from Markesan High School. On February 18, 1961, he was united in marriage to his wife, Darlene Haas at the Evangelical United Brethren Church on the Hill in Markesan. Jerry held several different jobs, including Clark's Market, which he opened in 1978. He also was a baker at Ted's before becoming a Condon regional store manager, retiring after 16 years. He served on the Markesan School Board for 9 years and was a member of the Lions Club. An avid deer hunter, he cherished the trip he took to Montana with his sons, as well as going up to the hunting cabin he built in Hancock, WI. He was also an NRA member and liked reloading his own ammo. Jerry loved watching his kids and grandkids play sports and would travel around the country to do so. He also enjoyed riding his Harley and snowmobiling and was part of a local snowmobile club. In his free time, he would often work on puzzles and word searches.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Darlene of Markesan; sons, Jeff Clark of Friesland, Jon (Stacy) Clark of Markesan, and Brad (Erin Randall-Clark) Clark of Oshkosh; grandchildren, Connor (Emma), Collin, Chris (Megan), Megan, Brady, Carson, Kelyn, Lauryn, Ashtyn, Jada, Steven, Violet, Oscar Bryan, ZuZu, Da'Miyla and Devonte; great-grandchildren, Fletcher and Buckley; sister, Marjorie Geiszler; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Bryan; brother, Gordie; and other relatives.
