Jo Ann J. Norton, age 84 of Green Lake and formerly of Markesan, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Kindred Hearts in Green Lake.

Joanne was born on April 19, 1933 to Helmuth and Frances (Kraft) Jahnke. She worked as a cook at Ripon Hospital for several years. On November 22, 1953 she was united in marriage to Elvin A. Norton at St. John's Lutheran Church in Markesan.

Jo Ann is survived by her brother, Jerome Jahnke of Markesan; sister-in-law, Gayle Jahnke of Menomonee Falls; her niece, Pam Jahnke of Lake Tahoe, along with other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elvin and one brother, Larry Jahnke

In honoring Jo Ann's wishes, a private burial will take place at Manchester Cemetery.
