John F. Wendorf, age 72 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Randolph Health Services.

John was born on July 29, 1953 in Watertown, the son of Dean and Beverly (Jacobs) Wendorf. On September 27, 1975, he was united in marriage to his wife, Sarah Beach at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Atkinson. John spent many of his working years working at WE Energies and served on the Jefferson City Council for multiple terms. In his younger years, he enjoyed trap shooting and toured almost all of the United States on a Honda Goldwing with his wife Sarah.

John is survived by his wife, Sarah Wendorf of Beaver Dam; children, Joe (Jennifer) Wendorf of Beaver Dam and Kelly (Rob) Scheinkoenig of Jefferson; grandchildren, Anthony, Skyler, Morgan, Britney, Bradley, and Benjamin; sister, Amy (Charlie) Robb of Johnson Creek; and further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Kathleen; son-in-law, Christopher Sowles; and other relatives.

In honoring John's wishes, private family services will be held.
