John R. Pavelka, age 72 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019 at home.

A memorial gathering for John will take place at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam on Monday, March 25, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 4:00 p.m.

John was born on October 7, 1946, the son of John J. and Clara (Pedersen) Pavelka. On February 12, 1966 he was united in marriage to Nancy Sturm at St. John's Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. He worked as a welder at Metal-Fab. In his younger years, he liked to bowl and later on enjoyed shooting pool. He was president of IAM, which granted him many travel opportunities.

John is survived by his wife, Nancy of Beaver Dam; sons, Anthony Pavelka of Beaver Dam and Bill (Amy) Pavelka of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Natasha Martin and Samantha (significant other, Gary Broadway) Pavelka; great-grandchildren, Jada and Camille Martin, Addilyn Pavelka, and Aaron Broadway; siblings, Duane Pavelka of Fox Lake, Donald (Linda) Pavelka of Green Bay, Judy (Jerry) Miller of Fox Lake, Randy Pavelka of Fox Lake, Cindy (Jim) Gubin of Beaver Dam, and Susan Pavelka-Martin of Oshkosh, and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Sylvia and Michael; brothers, Ronald and Richard; and other relatives.
