Rev. John R. Price, age 85, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Ripon Community Hospital.

A Memorial Mass for John will take place on Friday, September 26, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church (Holy Family Parish), 41 St. Joseph St., Markesan at 1:00 p.m.

John was born in Chicago, IL, on July 2, 1940, the son of John J. and Estelle (Novak) Price. He was ordained in 1966 at the Archdiocese of Chicago and served at several parishes, most recently at Holy Family Parish. He also served as a chaplain at Northeastern Illinois University.  John enjoyed classical music, the opera, and fine arts.

John is survived by his siblings, Christine (Gerald) Bielak of Issaquah, WA, Rosalie Price of Markesan, and Paula Price of Markesan; sister-in-law, Connie Price of Ripon; and further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James; and other relatives.
