Johnnie J. Butler, age 79 of Markesan, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the Markesan Resident Home.
Johnnie was born on January 19, 1934 in Moberly, Missouri to Sara and Johnnie James Butler, Sr. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a military police officer. He was a dog lover and enjoyed training dogs as a part of his military career, as well as afterwards. Johnnie also enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing.
Johnnie is survived by his children, Penny Butler of West Bend, Johnnie James (Pam) Butler III of Germantown, Tammy (Bob) Paquette of Hartford and Victor (Jackie) Butler of Menifee, CA; his ex-wife, Joanne of West Bend; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandfather Victor Butler, his son, Kenny Butler and his sister, Mary Ann.
A Funeral Service for Johnnie will be held on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 181 S. Main St., Markesan with Rev. Paul Yoder officiating. Visitation will take place prior to the service at the funeral home, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
