Jon B. Westover, age 68 of Markesan, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Froedtert Hospital.

Visitation for Jon will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 181 S. Main St., Markesan from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 5:00 p.m. Rev. Bruce Engebretson will officiate. Burial will take place at Mackford Union Cemetery.

Jon was born on October 11, 1948 in Beaver Dam, the son of Gerald and Jane (Evans) Westover. He graduated from Markesan High School. On November 11, 1970, he was united in marriage to Bonnie J. Hutter in Brandon. Over the years, Jon worked at Precision Metals, Federal Mogul in Waupun and most recently as a security officer for the Markesan School District. He also served as a firefighter in Markesan. Jon enjoyed wildlife, often spending time hunting, fishing, relaxing outdoors, videotaping and photographing wildlife. He also loved sports, especially the high school level, where he helped coach his children in baseball and basketball. Jon was a member of Whitetails and Ducks Unlimited.

Jon is survived by his wife, Bonnie Westover of Markesan; his children, Dean Westover of Markesan and Kim Westover of Green Bay; his grandson, Kellen Jon Westover of Markesan; and further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Gerald and other relatives.
