Joseph "Joe" Sol Vaccaro, age 54 of Marquette, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Waupun Memorial Hospital.

Joe was born in Chicago, IL on October 2, 1961 to Sol and Nancy (Kowalczyk) Vaccaro. He graduated from Burlington High School and later attended U.W. Stout. He was a journeymen mechanic and was also the owner of Marquette Truck and Auto. On May 21, 2010 he was united in marriage to Tina Cookson in South Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

Joe enjoyed going for pontoon rides, riding his Harley Davidson and playing with his dogs, Niko and Nellie. He was always busy working and enjoyed helping others. He was a member of Local 139 Operating Engineers and a former Village of Marquette Board Trustee.

Joe is survived by his wife Tina; his children, Nikki, Kayla and Joseph Jr. Vaccaro; step-chidren, Heather and Shayne Cookson; grandchildren, Wyatt and Stella and his mother Nancy Vaccaro. He is further survived by his siblings; Linda (Mike) McCormick, Ted Vaccaro, Rich (Val) Vaccaro, Dawn (Randy) Brown, Natalie Vaccaro, Judy (Dave) Baker along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his father Sol in 2000 along with other relatives.

Visitation for Joe will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2016 from 3-6 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Cremation Services, 181 S. Main St. in Markesan with a Funeral Service taking place at 6:00 p.m. at Cornerstone.
