Josephine Van Buren, 94, a resident of the Christian Home and Rehabilitation Center in Waupun, died Saturday evening, January 12, 2013 surrounded by her family.
Josephine was born August 10, 1918 in the town of Alto the daughter of Albert and Ella Riel Van Loo. On March 18, 1938 she married Elmer J. Van Buren. The couple farmed in the Waupun area until 1960. Josephine was seasonally employed by local businesses. She was a very hard worker. Josephine was a loving mother, mother-in-law and grandma. She was always available to help the family. She was a member of First Reformed Church in Waupun.
Josephine is survived by two sons, Erwin (Gail) Van Buren of Waupun, and LeRoy (Donna) Van Buren of Beaver Dam; daughters-in-law, Arlene Van Buren of Montello, and Carol Van Buren of Waupun; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandsons; two brothers, Raymond Van Loo of Beaver Dam, and Alvin (Irene) Van Loo of Randolph.
Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer, in 2002; two sons, Clarence and Russel Van Buren; a grandson, Christopher Van Buren; two brothers, Elton and James Van Loo; and a sister, Dorothy Smits.
Visitation:
Friends and relatives of Josephine Van Buren may call on the family on Wednesday evening at the funeral home from 4-7 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
Services:
Funeral services for Josephine Van Buren will be held Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with Rev. Bob James officiating.
Burial:
Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in the town of Trenton.
