Joyce L. Harttert, age 80 of Markesan, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2020 at Ripon Medical Center.

A graveside service for Joyce will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Phelps Cemetery, Town of Green Lake, with Rev. Gary Zacharias officiating.

Joyce was born in Pennsylvania on February 10, 1940, the daughter of William and Helen Weitzel. She was united in marriage to her husband, Francis Harttert and worked as a tax collector for the Town of Green Lake. With her faith being so important, Joyce was very active at Terrace Shores Ev. Free Church, especially with the bible study groups and Adult Sunday School. In her earlier years, she enjoyed hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling.

Joyce is survived by her children, Jeff (Janice) Harttert of Markesan, Mark Harttert of Dunbar, and Holly (William) Nanney of Beaver Dam; grandchildren, Jason, Jamie, Lisa, Bret, Cole, Hayley, and Zak; great-grandchildren, Maxwell, Shaylee, Addison, Collin, Aaron, Quinn, Cash, and Mason; sister, Jackie of Pennsylvania; long time friend and honorary daughter-in-law Danette Harttert; and further survived by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis; son, Eric Harttert; and other relatives.
