IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Juan De
Leon
December 16, 1939 – February 11, 2022
Juan "John" De Leon, Jr., age 82 of Beaver Dam, was called home by his Lord on Friday, February 11, 2022.
Juan was born on December 16, 1939, to Juan G. and Eloisa De Leon in San Antonio, TX. His family relocated to Wisconsin when he was a teen, eventually settling in Milwaukee. He served in the Merchant Marine, worked for Marquette University, and mentored young men at the Jewish Community Center prior to being employed for many years as a master carpenter with the City of Milwaukee.
Juan is survived by his sons, Christopher, Thomas, and John; and beloved grandchild, Noelani (Christopher's daughter). He also cherished, and will be missed by many other family members and friends, including his sister, Theresa (Raul) Garcia, and his brother, Tony (Laurie), as well as his longtime friend and life partner, Jeanne.
Juan's kind and generous nature will be his legacy. He was always helping others – family, friends, and anyone in need. He trusted God and displayed grace and courage, especially later in his life, as he faced ever more debilitating health issues.
In addition to his parents, Juan was preceded in death by nine siblings.
Juan made many lives better in this world. His quiet, caring spirit is a treasure we will hold forever in our hearts.
Visitation for Juan will take place on Friday, February 25, 2022, at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the Celebration of Life service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
