Juanita A. Roberts, age 71 of Beaver Dam, passed away at home on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
Juanita was born in Port Washington on October 12, 1954, the daughter of Earl and Joan (Hinz) Roberts. For 32 years, Juanita was a familiar face at the Beaver Dam Community Hospital. She served as a skilled surgical technician until her retirement in 2020, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, care for her community, and lasting friendships.
Outside of work, Juanita was a traveler at heart. She explored countries like Ireland, Australia, Jamaica, Aruba, Dominican Republic, Morocco, and many corners of the U.S. She recently fulfilled a lifelong dream by visiting Vietnam, the destination she had always wanted to see most.
While she loved seeing the world, Juanita’s greatest joy was found closer to home with her family. She was the biggest supporter of her grandsons and treasured every moment spent with them. Whether she was catching the latest movie with Jack, sitting in the audience listening to Seth play his music, or celebrating birthdays and holiday get togethers, she was happiest whenever she was part of their lives. Always a loyal sidekick, Juanita cherished time with her children by exploring a nearby city, enjoying a local festival, or just grabbing lunch or dinner. She faced her cancer diagnosis with incredible strength, and in the end, her wishes were fulfilled as she found peace, surrounded by the love of her family in the comfort of her home.
Juanita is survived by her children, Bucky (Debra McKay) Mulvaney, Brooke (Chad Uelmen) Mulvaney, and Brianne (Chad) Webster; grandchildren, Jack and Seth; her mother, Joan Roberts; siblings, LeAnn (Mark) Beaty, Steve (Janet) Roberts, and Michael Roberts; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Earl; former husband, Mark Schweitzer; and other relatives.
A memorial gathering for Juanita will take place on Friday, May 29, 2026 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services in Beaver Dam, from 11:00 a.m. until the Time of Remembrance service at 1:00 p.m.
Juanita’s family deeply appreciates the nurses and doctors at UW Carbone Cancer Center, along with the infusion, oncology, and primary care teams at Marshfield Medical Center. They are forever thankful to the hospice staff who cared for Juanita at home, giving her comfort and dignity in her final moments.
