Judith Johnson

d. February 6, 2013

(1942 - 2013)
Judith Johnson, a resident of the Waupun area, died February 6, 2013 at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

Judith was born November 17, 1942 in Fond du Lac, WI. Judith lived a challenging but fulfilling life, graduating cum laude from UW Oshkosh in 1982 at the age of 40. She carved out her hard-earned diploma in a quest to make a better life for her two sons. Judith spent nearly two decades working for the State of Wisconsin Department of Corrections, fulfilling her duties at both Dodge Correctional and Taycheedah Correctional Institutions. She enjoyed the challenge of her work as well as the people with whom she served until her retirement. Judith spent the final 20 years of her life married to her loving husband, Duane, and enjoyed the lives of her children and grandchildren. She read voraciously and loved to travel. Although she struggled for years against the effects of rheumatoid arthritis and COPD which eventually took her life, Judith was a fighter who loved life, loved her family and loved the Lord. Fiercely loyal, Judith dispensed support, counsel and full encouragement to all who came in contact with her.

Judith is survived by her husband, Duane Johnson; sons, Erik and Trent Scott; step-daughter, Stephanie Mason; and several grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ken and Norma Sorenson; and a brother, Bryan Sorenson.
