Obituary
June Ida Zauner, age 90 of Markesan, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 26, 2013 at her home.
June was born on June 19, 1922 in Markesan to William and Edna (nee Schwandt) Abendroth. She graduated from Markesan High School in 1940 and moved to Milwaukee to pursue further education and employment opportunities. While in Milwaukee she met Frank Zauner and they were united in marriage on November 12, 1960 at the United Methodist Church in Markesan
June is survived by her husband Frank of Markesan; siblings, Arno Abendroth of Markesan and Audrey Fabrizio of New Jersey along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Gretchen Roeder and Ada Jaeger and a brother William Abendroth.
A Funeral Service for June will be held on Monday, April 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at United Methodist Church, 74 E. Catherine St. in Markesan with Rev. Paul Yoder officiating. Visitation will also be on Monday at the Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Chauncy Phelps Cemetery in the Town of Green Lake.
