Navy Hospital Apprentice 1st Class Keefe R. Connolly, age 19 of Markesan, was killed in action on December 7, 1941 while assigned to the battleship USS Oklahoma .

A memorial service will take place on November 8, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Markesan Middle School Gymnasium, 100 E. Vista Blvd., Markesan. Burial will follow at Markesan Memorial Cemetery.
