Keith Walter Knight, age 71 of Kingston, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Waupun Memorial Hospital after suffering a heart attack at his home in Kingston.
Keith was born on October 15, 1941 in Kingston, the middle child of Walter and Nyla (nee Ring) Knight. He grew up in Kingston and graduated from Markesan High School in 1959. He then attended Madison Business College. Keith was drafted into the United States Army after working several years in Madison. He was Honorably Discharged upon the death of his father in 1964. He then returned to Kingston and went into farming with his brother Arnold and also helped his mother run Knight Insurance Agency.
On June 6, 1970 he married Patsy Ann Wilson at United Methodist Church in Portage. He left farming and took a job in the office as an accountant from 1972-1990 at Montello Products in Montello. In 1990 he left there to work full time with the Knight Agency and Town Mutual Insurance. He later sold Knight Agency and retired at the age of 63. Keith worked part-time at the Kingston House for many years and retired from there in 2012.
Keith kept busy as a Hospice Volunteer, Church Treasurer and a member of the Kingston Lions Club. Any free time was spent gardening in the summer and working on his family tree and his many decorated Christmas trees in the winter. His greatest love was playing cards three nights a week and his newest enjoyment was attending his grandchildren's sporting events and musicals.
Keith is survived by his wife of 42 years, Patsy of Kingston; his children, Andrew (fiancé Amanda Towery) Knight and their children, Laura and Isaac of Montello, Karrisa (Timothy) Rosanske and their children Jarid and Bryanna of Kingston; his brother Arnold (Joan) Knight and their daughters, Janet (John) Peters and Debbie (Roy) Witthun and their families.
