R. Beilfuss

Ken was born on January 18, 1935 in Horicon to Ervin and Elizabeth (nee Rake) Beilfuss. Growing up in Horicon and Beaver Dam, Ken graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1953. On May 21, 1960, he was united in marriage to Fran Stark at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Beaver Dam. Ken was a barber in Horicon for many years, and he also worked in the engineering department and as a shipping supervisor at John Deere Horicon Works. He and his wife Fran owned Charlie Brown's in Beaver Dam. In his later years, he enjoyed working part time at Rechek's Food Pride in Beaver Dam. Ken was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Parish in Horicon. He was a member of the Burnett Fire Department and a lifetime member of the Horicon Rod and Gun Club.
Ken was a hard worker. He had the kindest heart and loved his family and friends. In his free time, Ken enjoyed snowmobiling, trapshooting, fishing, deer hunting, cooking, and cutting wood. He was an avid Green Bay Packers and NASCAR fan. Together with his late brother Don, he created and sponsored the Clipper Cut All Star game, featuring the best softball players from each town with the winners claiming bragging rights, at least until the following year. He recently moved to Beaver Dam from his farm in Horicon, where he lived for 47 years.
Ken is survived by his loving wife, Fran of Beaver Dam; his two sons, Jeff (Jackie) Beilfuss and John (Sue) Beilfuss, both of Beaver Dam; two grandchildren, Alec and Natalie Beilfuss, both students at UW-Madison; his sisters-in-law, Eleanor Beilfuss of Beaver Dam and Pat (Phil) Gitzinger of AZ; his niece, Mary Beth (Scott) Nelson of Lakewood, CO; and his nephews, Bradley James Beilfuss of Palm Springs, CA and Daniel (Teresa) Beilfuss of Colorado Springs, CO. He is further survived by his grand-dog, Reggie, and other relatives and friends.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Ervin and Don; his nephew, Greg; aunts, uncles and other relatives.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Kenneth will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Parish, 950 Washington St., Horicon. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd, Beaver Dam and also on Wednesday prior to the Mass at the church, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, Town of Trenton, followed by a luncheon back at Cornerstone.
