Kevin K. Chastain, age 65 of Dalton, passed away at home on Tuesday, September 24, 2024.

Visitation for Kevin will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Terrace Shores Ev. Free Church, Markesan, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m.  Burial will follow at Ingelhart/Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cambria.

Kevin was born in Perry, OK on October 22, 1958, the son of Johnny J. and Reba (Rutherford) Chastain.  After attending Southern Illinois University, he began his career at Wal-Mart, where he worked for over 38 years. On August 31, 1980, he was united in marriage to his wife, Sarah Lawrence in West Frankford, IL. Kevin loved learning about history, particularly anything to do with WWII. He enjoyed spending time outside, especially camping and planting trees. He also enjoyed decorating for Christmas.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Sarah Chastain; children, John (Angel), Michael (Katie), and Stephen; 5 grandchildren; mother, Reba; and further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny; brothers, John R. Chastain and Mark Chastain; and other relatives.
