Kirk J. Bruins, 44, of Brandon died Tuesday, July 30, 2013.
Kirk was born February 1, 1969 in Waupun, the son of Keith and Donna Voss Bruins. Kirk graduated from Waupun High School in 1987. On September 17, 1994 he married Wendy Wesner in Waupun. Following their marriage the couple resided in rural Markesan. Kirk was employed by Hielke Trucking of Pickett and Rayfo Inc. in Waupun. He was a member of Alto Reformed Church and was a member of its men’s chorus. He was also a member of the National Turkey Federation. Kirk enjoyed snowmobiling, cutting wood, hunting, singing, woodworking, and judging at car shows.
Kirk is survived by his three children, Brittany, Tyler and Amanda Bruins of rural Markesan; his parents, Keith and Donna Bruins of rural Brandon; brothers, Karl (Sue) Bruins of rural Brandon, and Kerry Bruins of Ripon; nieces and nephews, Keegan, Conner, Taylor, Ella, and Charlie Bruins; his past wife, Wendy; along with aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kirk was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation:
Friends and relatives of Kirk Bruins may call on the family on Friday at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun from 4-7 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
Services:
Funeral services for Kirk Bruins will be held Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Alto Reformed Church with Rev. Ted Lindman and Rev. Ted Medema officiating.
Burial:
Burial will follow at Alto Cemetery.
