Larry D. Rose, age 83 of Markesan, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at his home in Markesan.
Visitation for Larry will take place on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 65 W Catherine St., Markesan from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Jason Jobs officiating.
Larry was born on June 8, 1939, in Wautoma, the son of Shirley and Lorraine (Keenlance) Rose. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was united in marriage to his wife, Lois Kebler on June 29, 1968 at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon. Larry volunteered with the Emergency Government in Markesan for several years and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Markesan. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapshooting. He also appreciated a good card game. Larry loved children, especially his grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with them.
Larry is survived by his wife, Lois Rose of Markesan; children, Cindy (Randy) Crook of Markesan, Cheryl Kracht of Markesan, Bob (Brenda) Rose of Waupun, and Candy (Terry) Yanda of Manitowoc; grandchildren, Randy, Jacquelyn, Savannah, Tyler, Rossin, Noah, Kendra, Micah, and Jadyn; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Sharon Weir of Princeton; sister-in-law, Ada Rose of Arena; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law Dewey Kracht; granddaughter, Rhonda Crook; brother, Donald Rose; brother-in-law, Alan Weir; and other relatives.
