Laura E. Prest, age 61 of Beaver Dam and formerly of Montello, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Sylvan Crossings in Beaver Dam.

Laura was born on October 23, 1950 to Elmer and Geraldine (nee Kuehn) Dudzinske in Waupun. She grew up in Waupun and graduated from Waupun High School. Laura worked as a purchasing agent for several area businesses and later owned the Dead End Saloon in Montello. She enjoyed motorcycling, traveling, golfing, boating and fishing. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren and family.


She is survived by her daughter, Barb (Paul) Loeffler – Hartl; grandsons, Aaron and Ben Hartl; mother, Geri Roedl all of Beaver Dam; siblings, Wally (MaryAnn) Dudzinske of New Holstein, Kathy Ryan of Oakfield, Pat Gentz of Burnett, Mary (Bob) Wheeler of Beaver Dam and Dan Roedl of Beaver Dam. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Laura is preceded in death by her father; husband Larry Prest; special friend Hubie Koss and two brother-in-laws, Robert "Hubba" Ryan and Hilbert "Hibby" Gentz.

A Memorial Service for Laura will be held on Monday, June 25, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 Keller Blvd. in Beaver Dam with Rev. Dr. Mark Molldrem officiating. Visitation will take place on Monday at Cornerstone from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Service at 5:30 p.m.
