Laura Ten Pass

Laura Ten Pass, 59, of Waupun, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024 with family by her side. 

Laura was born April 16, 1964 in Pella, IA to Ronald and Marilyn Vander Linden Rozenboom. She graduated from Pella Christian High School in 1982 and later attended Dordt College where she graduated with an Elementary Education degree in 1986. Laura moved to Waupun to accept a teaching position at Central Wisconsin Christian School as a fourth grade teacher. She met the love of her life, Brian Ten Pass and they were married on August 4, 1989 at Faith Christian Reformed Church in Beaver Dam. Laura continued to be a teacher at CWC for 34 years and was the music teacher, loving every day with her students, retiring in 2022. In 2011, Laura was diagnosed with colon cancer and it never slowed her down. Her love for music and children carried her through the disease. Laura loved flowers, baking to include Christmas cookies and making chocolate chip cookies for Brian every week, and making meals for the family. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and had an extreme love for playing the piano, sharing that love with others. Laura was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Waupun. 

She is survived by her husband Brian of 34 years; her two children: Tyler (Jessica) Ten Pass and Hollie (Bruce) Ganz; three grandchildren: Brooke and Kylie Ten Pass, and Maeve Ganz; her father, Ronald (Zelda) Rozenboom; her sisters: Diane (Harwin) Te Slaa and Jana (Richard) Van Rooyen; sister-in-law, Melanie (Kendall) Wheeler; and students, friends, nieces and nephews. 

Laura was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn Rozenboom; her in-laws, Merlin and Judith Ten Pass; and brother-in-law, Kevin Wheeler.

Funeral services for Laura Ten Pass will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at 1:15 p.m. at Central Wisconsin Christian 301 Fox Lake Rd. Waupun. Burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens in the town of Trenton. Visitation will be held on Monday at Central Wisconsin Christian from 4-7 p.m. and on Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service.
