Woody was born on December 16, 1935 to Lawrence and Hattie (nee Immerfall) Wodill in Columbus. He graduated from Columbus High School in 1957 where he was the Homecoming and Prom King and co-captain of the basketball and football teams. Following high school he served his country in the United States Army. When he returned from service he worked as a baker at Gardner's in Madison. Woody then took over the family bar, Wodill's Tap, where he was owner/operator for over 40 years. When the bar closed he always look forward to the Tuesday "Happy Hour" with his former patrons and at Hillside Manor. He was a huge sports fan especially the Packers and Brett Favre, Milwaukee Brewers and Bucks. Woody also enjoyed golfing, fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a very loving and giving man and he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Woody is survived by his loving companion of 23 years, Pam Kluz of Beaver Dam; his children, Jeff (Chris) Wodill of Beaver Dam, Justine (Randy) Westover of Randolph; 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 6 step great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert(Karen) Wodill of Green Bay and Pam's son Brian (Kristin) Kluz and their daughter Breanna of Oshkosh. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, many friends and his beloved dog Heidi.

He is preceded in death by his Parents and a brother Lloyd Wodill.

A Funeral Service for Woody will take place on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at First Ev. Lutheran Church, 311 W. Mackie St. in Beaver Dam with Rev. Dr. Mark Molldrem officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 from 4-7 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 135 Keller Blvd. in Beaver Dam and on Wednesday at the Church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of Service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Memorials may be directed to Hillside Hospice or Dodge County Humane Society.
