LaVonne Joyce Zumm, age 94, formerly of Fox Lake, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Rainbow Hospice in Johnson Creek.

A memorial gathering for LaVonne will take place on Monday, January 15, 2024 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 110 Edgelawn Dr., Fox Lake from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:30 p.m.

LaVonne Joyce (Nygaard) Zumm was born September 20, 1929 in Pierpont South Dakota, the daughter of Oscar and Bertha Christina (Aadland) Nygaard. She was baptized on October 6, 1929 and confirmed on January 24, 1943. She graduated from Pierpont High School in 1947 and on October 5, 1947, she was united in marriage to Earl Rudolph Zumm in a double wedding with her cousin and Earl's brother in Pierpont, South Dakota. Earl and Lavonne started out farming in South Dakota and then moved to WI in 1951. She worked at the Green Giant canning factory and Kolpin Manufacturing, retiring from there after 28 years. Then besides her Shaklee business, she worked at Advance Products and Nancy's Notion's for a while. Over the years, she and Earl enjoyed bowling, snowmobiling and camping where they made many friends. She loved taking trips. She was a member of the Fox Lake Legion Auxiliary and St. John's Lutheran Church in Fox Lake.

She is survived by her children, Cynthia (Donald), Timothy (Heather) and Diane (Peter); her grandchildren, Jennifer (Jason), Jonathan (Laura), Jeremy (Becky), Nicholas, Caleb, Noah, Lindsey and Kristine. She also has 5 great-grandchildren, David, Nathan, Anna, Kingston and Londyn.

She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; her siblings, Julius, Gilbert, Clarice, Rueben, Gordon, Delores and their spouses. She was the last member of her immediate family.

The family would like to thank Rainbow Hospice for her final care and to all the family members who were there for love and support.
