Leanne Johnson

Leanne Johnson, age 69, of Waupun, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025.

Leanne was born November 9, 1955, the daughter of John and Jeanette Winkel Fisher. Leanne graduated from CWC in Waupun. Following high school she worked at McGregor and met Frederick Johnson on May 2, 1981. They resided in Waupun all their married lives. Leanne and Fred were self-employed veal farmers. After Fred’s unexpected passing Leanne worked at Alto Cheese. Leanne was a lifelong member of First Christian Reformed Church in Waupun and was part of its Women’s Bible Study. She loved to antique and bargain hunt. She also enjoyed her game shows and could always solve the puzzles.

Leanne is survived by her siblings: Jerry (Lynda Schaffer) Fisher of Oshkosh, Linda (Roger) Hoekstra of Waupun, and John Fisher of Michigan; nieces: Morgan Fisher, Sheena Hoekstra, and Christina Hoekstra; nephews: Justin (Ellen) Fisher, and Alec Fisher; great-nieces and nephews: Jeremiah, Emalyn, and Rebekah; aunts: Josephine Mulder and Anne Wells; and many other relatives and friends.

Leanne was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law, Donna; and many other relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 12 noon at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun. Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun. Visitation will be held Saturday at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of service.

All donations can be made out to Central Wisconsin Christian School in Leanne’s name.
