Linda was born on September 18, 1952 in Beaver Dam to Lester and Elizabeth (nee Bushkie) Giese. She graduated from Beaver Dam High School and also attended two years of college in Madison. On June 8, 1973 she was united in marriage to Alan Posthuma in Beaver Dam. Linda worked at the courthouse in Juneau as a courtroom stenographer and later at Fleet Farm in Beaver Dam for over 20 years. Linda enjoyed crocheting, cooking, baking, collecting recipes and going to parades with her children and grandchildren. She lived her life for her family especially her grandchildren. Linda cherished every moment she was blessed to have with them. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Beaver Dam.

Linda is survived by her husband, Alan Posthuma of Beaver Dam; her children, Chris Posthuma, Joel (fiancé Teresa Huck) Posthuma and Stacy Lindert all of Beaver Dam; grandchildren, Brady Huck, Bryce Posthuma and Ethan and Kylee Lindert; brothers, Tom (Mary) Giese of McGregor, Iowa, Dennis (fiancé Karen Tomko) Giese of Burnett; brother-in-laws, David (Deborah) Posthuma of Fox Lake, Gary (Diane) Posthuma of Waupun, Brian (Marsha) Posthuma of Fox Lake and Rodney (Brenda) Posthuma of Beaver Dam. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her mother Elizabeth in 2003, father Lester in 2009; two grandchildren, Jonah and Noah Lindert and her mother and father-in-law, Jake and Betty (nee All) Posthuma and other relatives.

Visitation for Linda will be on Friday, December 2, 2011 from 5-7 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc. 135 Keller Blvd. in Beaver Dam and also on Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. Katharine Drexel Parish, 511 S. Spring St. in Beaver Dam. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 on Saturday at the Church with Fr. Mike Erwin officiating. Burial will take place at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery and a luncheon will follow back at Cornerstone.
