Lloyd Weisnicht, 89, of Brandon, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Anchor Communities in Brandon.
Lloyd was born January 8, 1932 in Alto the son of Walter and Harriet Redeker Weisnicht. Lloyd was a graduate of Brandon High School in 1950. Lloyd served in the United States Army from 1953 through 1955. On April 8, 1978 he married Rita Zimmerman at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lomira. Lloyd was a sausage maker with Menke’s and later for Brandon Meats and Sausage. Lloyd won many state awards and a national award with his sausage. He was an avid gardener. Lloyd was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Ripon.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Rita of Brandon; sons: Scott (Kathy) Weisnicht of Waupun and Steve (Tricia) Weisnicht of Brandon; daughter, Sue Bell (Jeff Bethke) of Ripon; six grandsons: Benjamin and Caleb Weisnicht, Taylor and Collin Weisnicht, Dustin (Caitlin) Bell and James Bell; three great-grandchildren: Carter, Laken and Sloane; sister, Ann (Bill) Vande Zande of Fond du Lac; sister-in-law, Joan Weisnicht of Brandon; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Lloyd was preceded in death by a brother, Harley Weisnicht; and his parents, Walter and Harriet Weisnicht.
Private family services will be held.
The family would like to thank everyone from Hospice Hope and Anchor Communities for the care and compassion given to Lloyd.
