Lois Rose, age 86 of Markesan, passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Visitation for Lois will take place on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 65 W. Catherine St., Markesan, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m.

Lois was born on February 26, 1938, the daughter of Frank and Evelyn Kebler. A hard worker, she was always there for family and friends. The kitchen was her favorite place to be because she loved cooking and baking. She was especially known for her awesome potato salad and apple pies. Lois was also an avid reader, always having a book in hand when she could. Her grandchildren were her world, and she loved spending time with them. She especially enjoyed family vacations up north to Minocqua, her favorite place.

Lois is survived by her children, Cindy (Randy) Crook of Markesan, Cheryl Kracht of Markesan, Bob (Brenda) Rose of Waupun, and Candy (Terry) Yanda of Manitowoc; grandchildren, Randy, Jacquelyn, Savannah, Tyler, Rossin, Noah, Kendra, Micah, and Jadyn; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Sharon Weir of Princeton and Ada Rose of Arena; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry; son-in-law Dewey Kracht; granddaughter, Rhonda Crook; brothers-in-law, Donald Rose and Alan Weir; and other relatives.
