Obituary
Potsie Weber, age 55 of Randolph, was called to heaven unexpectedly on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Waupun Memorial Hospital.
Potsie was born on April 27, 1957 in Waupun, WI to Norbert and Leona (nee Wurch) Weber. He was baptized and confirmed at County Line Lutheran Church, graduated from Markesan High School, Class of 1975 and graduated from Moraine Park Tech. On March 30, 1996 he was united in marriage to Pam Williams at County Line Lutheran Church. Potsie worked at Del Monte in Markesan as a field crew mechanic for 13 years and as a boiler engineer for the past 20 years. Potsie was also the proud owner of Potsie 'Partments, Inc and an active member of the Markesan Chamber of Commerce. A member of County Line Lutheran Church, Potsie enjoyed serving on the church council.
Potsie was a tremendous family man. He loved his family dearly and treasured all of the time they spent together. He enjoyed four wheeling, especially with his children on their farm. Potsie was a huge sports fan. He was a very active booster for Markesan youth sports and enjoyed every opportunity he had to attend Packer, Badger, Brewer or Bucks games.
Potsie will be dearly missed by his wife, Pam of Randolph; his children, Wade, 15, Julia, 14, Tanner, 12, and Adam, 11; his sister, Lynda (Bill) Ashby of Duluth, GA; his nephew, Michael (Laura) Ashby of GA; his niece, Dawn Ashby of GA; special friend, Sue Boelter, many loving cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert and Leona Weber, and his infant sister.
A Funeral Service for Potsie will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 18, 2013 at County Line Lutheran Church, W10505 Cty Rd AW, Markesan with Rev. Bruce Engebretson and Rev. David Howie officiating. Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 17, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 181 S. Main St., Markesan and also on Friday prior to the service at church, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Potsie will be laid to rest next to his parents at Lake Maria Cemetery, Town of Manchester, Green Lake County, WI.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund for his children's education will be established.
