Lyndell "Lyn" D. Schwoch, age 43, of Wautoma and formerly of Beaver Dam, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at Wild Rose Community Memorial Hospital. Lyn was born in Beaver Dam on October 9, 1965 to David & Lorraine (nee Meyer) Schwoch. He graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1983. For the last 15 years, he has been an owner-operator of Schwoch Transport, Inc. Driving semi truck allowed Lyn to travel to 47 of the 48 continental United States, along with Canada, and he always said he truly enjoyed "the ride". His hobbies included reading, model railroading, rail-fanning, and collecting material concerning semi trucks. He was a true craftsman and had a knack for working on cars and trucks; he would take them apart piece by piece, and then enjoyed putting them back together. He also had a special gift doing carpentry work, which came naturally to him. He rebuilt his "Class of '67" Kenworth semi. Because of this trucks' age and working condition, he received a trophy for it at the Waupun Truck-N-Show. This truck also took him on a journey to California and back.

Lyn is survived by his parents, Lorraine and David Schwoch of Beaver Dam; his brother, Timothy J. Schwoch of Beaver Dam; his three nephews who meant the world to him, Zachary, Austin, and Anthony Schwoch; aunts, uncles, many cousins, his "very special Aunt Marcy", and many friends he made through his hobby of model railroading.

He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and two uncles, Edward Meyer and Larry Welsch.

A Funeral Service for Lyndell will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2009 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services , 135 Keller Blvd. Beaver Dam at 5:00 p.m. with Rev. Eileen Kuehnl officiating. Visitation will take place on Sunday, August 2, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery, Beaver Dam. A luncheon will be served following the burial at the funeral home.
