Inurnment will take place on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Center House – Green Lake Center Cemetery.
Lynn was born on April 8, 1945 in Green Bay WI, the youngest child of Dewey and Elvera (Sandberg) Anderson. He grew up in Oconto, WI and graduated from Oconto High School in 1963. Shortly after graduation he moved to Whitewater, WI to help his recently retired father, Dewey and brother, Norman operate Anderson Milling Co. That fall he entered college at the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater. He entered the Army that same fall and took basic training at Ft Jackson, SC, then primary electronics school, at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville AL, and then on to nuclear weapons calibration school at Sandia Base in Albuquerque, NM. After that he was stationed in Gunzburg, Germany for the remainder of his military career. Upon returning home, he reentered UW Whitewater and met and married Martha Mae Miller on May 10th, 1968. A career change moved his young family to Mansfield, OH, and advancement moved them again to Marquette, MI with daughter Dewina Lavern. The next career move sent them to Milwaukee, WI and another advancement brought them to McFarland, WI with two more daughters, Amy Lynn and Janel Marie. Some time later, he joined his brother Norman in a new venture in Carroll, IA. It was while in Carroll that he found the hobby of Barbershop singing that helped sustain him through the tough times that were ahead. It was there in 1985, that his family sustained the loss of his loving wife, and mother to his girls, to cancer. Once again, he moved his young family, this time to Berlin WI. He subsequently started a company called Party Time Fundraising and later, one called Hands-on History. During the start-up of Party Time, he worked as a DJ on the WISS radio morning show "Farm Radio in Berlin". On September 11, 1993, he married Patricia Ann (Daehn) Hollerup, and was joined by three step-children, Amy Dawn Stellmacher, Peter James Jensen, (formerly Peter James Hollerup) and Steven Paul Hollerup.
The new family moved a few miles west to Neshkoro, WI and he worked for a short time for Berlin Glove/Midwest Sport Togs, a deer skin garment manufacturer as hide buyer, while he continued to build his fundraising business. The business grew until it required all of his time and also required Patti to join him in running it.
His children, step-children, grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great grandchild and great step-grandchildren brought much joy to him, and he cherished his time with them.
His life was immersed in song with a Barbershop Chorus and numerous quartets wherever he lived. He was able to travel extensively to bring a few songs, serve as the MC at many venues, and of course tell a couple of "Ole" stories.
He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church where he sang in the choir and a mixed quartet. He served a few years as Chaplin of his American Legion Post 146, Beaver Dam, and he always liked to remind folks "Although I am not a perfect Christian, I am sure I am forgiven".
He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. Titus 3:5
