Maggie was born in Siren, WI on December 9, 1951, the fifth of Walter and Vernelia (Preble) Jobe's ten children. She grew up on a farm in Endeavor, WI and graduated from Wisconsin Dells High School in 1970.
Maggie made lifelong friends while studying at UW-Eau Claire and UW-Oshkosh. While in Oshkosh, she met her husband, Jerry. They were married in 1974 and raised five children on a dairy farm in Markesan. Her contribution to the farm was invaluable. She had a warm-hearted and generous spirit, and always gave her family an endless amount of love and support.
Once her children were grown, she started her career as a preschool teacher and opened Maggie's Magic Castle. She later worked at Jung's Garden Center in Randolph and Howie's Restaurant in Wisconsin Dells. She was also a compassionate caregiver to Bill and Jerry.
Maggie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, bird watching, reading, and playing games.
She always looked forward traveling to Florida during the cold Wisconsin winters, and camping with her sisters every autumn.
Maggie is survived by four children: Andrew (Rachel) Nitz, Michael (Heidi) Nitz, Jessica (Jeremy Bieberitz) Nitz, and Pamela (Michael) Miller; eight grandchildren: Danielle, Abagail, Cassady, and Kiera Nitz, Maegan and Alexander Nitz, Ashton and Jacob Miller; nine siblings: Austin (Mary) Jobe, Marlene Kimball, Mary Lou (Samuel) Rizzotte, Tim (Mary Ann) Jobe, Susan (Nick) Srock, Walter (Linda) Jobe, Kathy (Mike) Klawitter, Robert (Wendy) Jobe, and Patrick Jobe; two sisters-in-law: Ardith (Hollis) Hasty and Beverly (Larry) Kastenschmidt; as well as many other relatives and friends.
