Margaret A. Witte

Oct 14, 1946 — Jun 25, 2026

On June 25, 2026, Mardi Witte was called home and into the arms of Jesus.

Faith was not just a part of Mardi’s life, it was the foundation of it. Through every season, she trusted in God’s plan, leaned on His promises, and found peace in His presence. Mardi’s greatest joy was her family. She shared a beautiful life with her husband and best friend of more than sixty years, Jerry Witte. She was a loving mother to Jan (Dennis) Martin and Jake (Heather) Witte, and a proud grandmother to Max and Porter Martin and Silas Witte.

Mardi’s gift as a teacher and love of languages brought her to Horicon High School where she taught Spanish for over twenty five years. She gave her heart to every student who walked through her classroom door, and saw potential in each one of them. Teaching wasn’t just her profession, it was her calling.

Today, our hearts are heavy because we will miss her. Yet we do not grieve without hope, knowing Mardi is exactly where she longed to be, with her Lord and Savior. Her race is finished, her faith has become sight, and she is finally home. The body that had grown weary has been made whole, restored, and new in the presence of the One she trusted throughout her life.

In honoring Mardi's wishes, private family services will be held.
