Mark C. Tuel, age 71 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Beaver Dam Health Care Center.

A memorial gathering for Mark will take place on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Mike Tess officiating.

Mark was born in Beaver Dam on January 9, 1952, the son of Benton and Elinor (Sokolowski) Tuel. He was a 1970 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. In his younger years Mark was active in community theater and even coached Tee Ball. On August 16, 1991, Mark was united in marriage to Rita Schweiger in Beaver Dam. They enjoyed their lives together, making trips to casinos around the state and watching Jeopardy. In his free time Mark could be found reading, especially science fiction novels, and watching movies.

Mark is survived by his wife, Rita Tuel of Beaver Dam; daughter, Megan Moquin of Appleton; son, Brian Tuel of North Carolina; siblings, Bill (Linda) Sonneman of Franklin, Mike (DeeDee) Tuel of Idaho, Tom (Jan) Tuel of Iowa, Gray Tuel of New Jersey, Debbie (Doug) Hoffman of Florida, Linda (Bob) Zamzow of Beaver Dam, Beth (Todd) Ehlenfeldt of Montello, Jon (Joan) Tuel of Maine, Diane (Mike) Sullivan of Madison; Brothers-in-law, John Schweiger, Tom Schweiger, and Paul Schweiger; Sister-in-law, Alice Schweiger; mother of his children, Jody Langfeldt of Beaver Dam; and further survived by nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Suellen Bartos; son-in-law, Joe Moquin; brother-in-law, John Taylor; sisters-in-law, Ann Schweiger and Jean Schweiger; father-in-law, Clarence Schweiger; mother-in-law, Laura Schweiger; and other relatives.

The family would like to thank Crossroads Care Center of Mayville and Marshfield Medical Center-Beaver Dam for their care of Mark for the last couple years.
