Marlene M. Renner, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Barrett House in Markesan.

Marlene was born in Beaver Dam on January 8, 1948, the daughter of Joseph and Berdell (Voskuil) Hallmeyer. On April 13, 1971, she was united in marriage to her husband and father of her children, Donald L. Gabathuler, who preceded her in death. On November 14, 2009, she was united in marriage to Eugene H. Renner. She loved music and dancing, attending polka fests and listening to country western music. She also enjoyed working outside in her flower beds.

Marlene is survived by her husband, Eugene Renner; children, Tammy Hallmeyer, Ron (Michelle) Sainsbury, Sue (Kevin) Aarhus, Denise (David) Hollis, and Don (Kaelyn) Gabathuler; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings, Virginia Strahota, Arlene Hallmeyer, and Francis Hallmeyer; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by parents; the father of her children, Donald Gabathuler; sibling, Darlene Kurtz; and other relatives.

A memorial gathering for Marlene will take place on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at St. Mary Catholic Church (Holy Family Parish), 177 Pearl St., Kingston, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will take place at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun at a later date.
