Marnee Michelle Schultz, 52, of Pewaukee, formerly of Beaver Dam, passed away at her home on Sunday, March 30, 2025, after a long struggle with colon cancer.
A memorial gathering for Marnee will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd, Beaver Dam, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m.
Marnee was born on August 3, 1972, in Beaver Dam, WI, to John and Elaine (Katsma) Schultz. She attended St. Katherine Drexel (St. Peter's) for grade school before graduating from Beaver Dam High School in 1990. She furthered her education at Ripon College, from where she graduated in 1994. After college, she became a certified social worker and was employed by Clearview. She later worked at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam for many years. After being diagnosed with cancer, Marnee worked at Froedtert Hospital as a financial cancer navigator. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her beloved dogs, Milo and Gus, and going on family vacations.
Marnee is survived by her parents, John and Elaine Schultz, brothers, Peter and Katie (Westphal) Schultz and their children, Joshua, Matthew, and Jacob, of Elm Grove, and Lee and Hollie (Beach) Schultz and their children, Savannah, Sawyer and Sutton, and granddaughter, Saylor, from Charleston, SC; and further survived by many cousins, including John and Donna Oathout, who provided extra assistance at the end of her life, Susan and Brian Schaefer, Nick and Jodi Matiash, Kevin and Heather Able, Nathan and Amber Stauffer, Marcia Katsma, Charles and Lisa Beetstra, and Jim and Paula Katsma; aunts and uncles, John and Lois Oathout, Arlene Katsma, and Daryl and Brenda Katsma; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Marnee was preceded in death by her grandparents, Peter and Hildegarde (Zehren) Schultz, and Clarence and Alice (Swaagman) Katsma; uncle Dennis Katsma; and other relatives.
