IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marvin E.
Albrecht
August 25, 1926 – March 14, 2016
Visitation for Marvin will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 605 Madison St., Marshall, with Rev. Paul Anderson officiating. Burial will take place at Medina Cemetery, Marshall.
Marvin was born August 25, 1926, the 6th child of Fred and Marie (Punzel) Albrecht. He grew up on the farm on Hwy T, west of Marshall, that his father purchased in 1904. Four generations of Albrechts grew up on that farm.
On November 18, 1944, he married Phyllis L. Schroeder of Cottage Grove, a farm girl herself, and they joined in the dairy farm operation with his father. They were married for 69 years before Phyllis' unexpected death on April 22, 2014.
Marvin continued to live in his home after that thanks to a wonderful caregiver, Dawn. He fell and broke his hip in May 2015, after which he needed more medical care. He became a resident of Oak Park Place, Madison, where he resided at the time of his peaceful death.
Surviving Marvin are his daughter, Sue (Tim) Eberle of Madison and one sister, Helen Biederman of Madison. There are also six (6) grandchildren, nine (9) great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
In addition to his parents and his wife, preceding him in death were his son, Danny in 2002, Danny's wife, Janine (Sauer) Albrecht, his brothers, Edward and Harold, his sisters, Leona (Albrecht) Behling and Margaret (Albrecht) Milward, and one (1) great-granddaughter, Martina Garfoot Albrecht.
A sincere thank you to the Marshall EMS squad, the staff of Oak Park Place memory care facility for their care, to Heartland Hospice for their care, the doctors at Dean Clinic, and all the years of care by the Poser Clinic, Columbus, Wisconsin.
Memorials can be given to the Marshall EMS or to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Marshall.
