Mary Ann Mason, age 65 of Beaver Dam, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at her home.

Mary Ann was born on March 24, 1947 in Marathon, WI to Mike and Rose (nee Wolf) Gassner. She graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1965 and later attended nursing school in Madison. She later worked as an L.P.N. at University Hospital in Madison, Clearview in Juneau and also as a home health care nurse. On April 20, 1974 Mary Ann was united in marriage to Eugene "Gene" Mason at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Madison. She enjoyed baking, gardening, knitting, cooking meals and spending time with family and friends.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband Gene of Beaver Dam; two sons, John (Jolene) Mason of Beaver Dam, Steve (Miranda Clark) Mason of Beaver Dam; two grandchildren, Taylor and Lena; three sisters, Barb Gassner of Randolph, Ruth (Tom) Voight of Monroe and Martha Gassner of Madison. She is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Mike.

A Memorial Service for Mary Ann will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2012 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd in Beaver Dam with Deacon Ed Cody officiating. A Memorial Gathering will start at 3:00 p.m. until the time of Service at the funeral home.
