Mary Ellen Falk, age 78, of Markesan and formerly of New Berlin, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at her home.

Mary Ellen was born on April 4, 1935 in Milwaukee to Royden and Mary Jo (nee Harrington) Andresen. She was united in marriage to Lawrence T. Falk Sr. on November 12, 1955. Mary Ellen was very involved in her church, school and community of New Berlin, where she lived before retiring to Little Green Lake in the early 1990's. She was a dedicated wife and mother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. In her spare time Mary Ellen enjoyed flower gardening, canning, bird watching, politics, traveling and fishing. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Parish in Markesan and Holy Apostles Catholic Parish in New Berlin.

Mary Ellen is survived by her children, Mark (Lori) Falk of Town of Genesee, Jim (fiancée Ann) Falk of Ripon, Greg Falk of Sussex, Teresa Lang of Ft. Myers, FL, Mary Beth (John) Ludin of Sussex, Larry (Lisa) Falk, Jr. of Watertown and Kris (Ernie) Schilling of Markesan; 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; her brother, Robert (Judith) Andresen of Franklin, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lawrence in 2010, son-in-law, Robert Walters and other relatives.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Ellen will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 16000 W. National Avenue, New Berlin. Visitation will be held prior to the service at church, beginning at 12:00 p.m. (noon). Burial will take place at Holy Apostles Catholic Cemetery, New Berlin.
