Mary F. Loehmer, age 91, of Beaver Dam, died peacefully on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.

Mary was born in Beaver Dam on April 18, 1917 to John and Clara (nee Soder) Koboski. She was a lifelong resident of Beaver Dam, graduating from Beaver Dam High School on June 7, 1934. She later attended Oshkosh Business College. On April 26, 1952, she married John Loehmer. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Beaver Dam. Throughout her years, Mary found much pleasure in traveling, whether it was going to see plays in New York City, going to the World's Fair, or traveling throughout the United States to visit her grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing, needlework, reading, talking with her family on the phone, and shopping. She treasured her independence and continued driving up until just a few months ago.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Gary) Melis, Kathleen (Robert) Gamble, and Christine (James) Powell, and her grandchildren, John (Elizabeth), Anne, Rebecca, Andrew, Jeff, Scott and Nathan. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary will take place on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Katharine Drexel Parish, 127 W. Maple Ave. Beaver Dam, with Father Jose Gonzalez officiating. Interment will follow at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be directed to St. Katharine Drexel Parish or Hillside Manor.
