Mavis A. Stange, age 80 of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 14, 2012 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.
Mavis was born on July 27, 1932 in Danville to John and Myrtle (nee McCauley) Bingenheimer. She was united in marriage to the father of her children John A. Riehbrandt and later to Earl Stange. In her earlier years she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friends. She also loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mavis worked as a housekeeper at Beaver Dam Community Hospital for many years and was a member of Trinity Church - United Methodist in Beaver Dam.
Mavis is survived by her children Amy Carpenter of Manitowoc, Karen (Scott) Drake of Beaver Dam, Dan (Kay) Riehbrandt of Lomira; grandchildren, Jeremy (Beth) Drake, Jason Drake, Ryan Carpenter, Steve (Debbie) Drake, Matthew and Molly Riehbrandt; great-grandson Theodore Drake; brother and sister-in-laws, Audrey Bingenheimer, Clarence Stange, Herman Stange, Frederick (Mary) Stange, Evaline (Herb) Lidtke and Helen Zwieg. She is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Earl Stange on June 29, 2000, the father of her children John A. Riehbrandt on September 2, 2007, grandson Aaron Foster, brother Glenn Bingenheimer and brother and sister-in-laws, Ethel (Gerhardt) Nedow, Milton (Evelyn) Stange, Merlin Zwieg, Mary E. Stange, Betty Stange and other relatives.
A Funeral Service for Mavis will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 135 Keller Blvd. in Beaver Dam with Rev. Jeffrey Nicholas officiating. Visitation will also take place on Tuesday at Cornerstone from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery and a luncheon will follow back at Cornerstone.
